Erin Secord

Biography

Erin Secord is the manager of conservation for Ingenium. She holds a bachelor of applied science in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University, Kingston (2005), and a bachelor of science in conservation of objects in museums and archaeology from Cardiff University, Wales (2007). Prior to joining Ingenium in 2009, Erin worked with the Provincial Archives of Alberta in Edmonton and at The Mariner’s Museum in Newport News, Virginia, USA. She has also trained with the Royal Armouries, Leeds, UK, the Imperial War Museum, UK, and Canada’s Department of National Defence’s Quality Engineering Test Establishment. Erin is committed to preserving the national collection to encourage scientific curiosity for all Canadians.
