On the Trail of the Monarch Butterfly

Treat your visitors to one of the most dazzling migrations on Earth – the yearly flight of around half a million butterflies from Canada to Mexico and back.

Your visitors will join Mexican filmmaker and pilot Francisco “Vico” Gutiérrez on his 72-day 6,000-kilometre odyssey from Montreal to the mountains of central Mexico in an ultralight aircraft, and learn how no monarch ever makes the entire round trip.

Produced in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico, the exhibition includes stunning microphotography, aerial photographs, and the film Papalotzin—The Flight of the Monarch.
