Our services
Reference
Contact us for recommendations on resources in the collection related to science and innovation subject areas. We are happy to suggest relevant materials, and provide options around how to best to access them.
Inter-library loans
There are over 30,000 books available for interlibrary loans. If you would like to borrow one of the books from our library collection, please contact your local library and request an inter-library loan. You will pick up and return the book to your local library. The loan period is 4 weeks.
Please note that not all resources are eligible for interlibrary loan such as materials from the archives, periodicals, trade literature, and rare book collections. Books requiring specialized handling may also be ineligible for interlibrary loan requests.
Reproduction
If you would like to obtain a reproduction of material from the library and archival collections, please contact us to discuss options. The options and restrictions depend on the type of material and the intended use of the reproduction. Please note that fees may apply.
On-site consultation
If you would like to consult material on-site, visits to the Library and Archives are available by appointment, during our service hours at either of our two locations.
By scheduling an appointment, we can pull materials in advance and be prepared to explain important considerations for handling and reproducing the material.
