Artifact loans
Ingenium lends artifacts to help foster the diffusion of the remarkable stories of science and innovation held within our collection.
Museums and not-for-profit organisations throughout Canada and abroad are invited to reach out to us about borrowing artifacts for the purposes of public exhibition or scholarly research.
Canada’s national science and technology collection includes artifacts relating to agriculture and food, aviation and space, communications, domestic technology, marine and land transportation, medicine, natural resources, and the sciences. We invite you to visit Ingenium’s collection online to discover exciting artifacts to share with your visitors.
About artifact loans at Ingenium
Requests for loans should be received a minimum of six months prior to the anticipated shipping date for loans within Canada and with a minimum of twelve months’ notice for international loans.
Expenses incurred by Ingenium as we prepare for and execute a loan are the responsibility of borrowers. Canadian heritage institutions may be eligible to apply for financial support through the Museums Assistance Program, Exhibition Circulation Fund.
