Our Board of Trustees

Responsible for strategic guidance and oversight of Ingenium’s business activities and affairs

The Board of Trustees operates in accordance with a variety of legislation, including the Museums Act and the Financial Administration Act. Board members are appointed by the Governor-in-Council and is accountable to Parliament, through the Minister of Canadian Heritage. The Board also engages with the public at its annual public meeting, during which it shares Ingenium’s achievements and fiscal management over the last year, and its priorities for the coming year.

Biographies

Neil Russon

Chair, Harvey, New Brunswick

A senior executive and entrepreneur with 40+ years’ experience providing fiscal, strategic and operations leadership in diverse settings from large, private sector and government organizations to start-up and mid-sized consulting firms. In semi-retirement, he continues to mentor early-stage businesses in financial and business strategy.

He is an innovative and results-driven leader focused on achieving exceptional results in highly competitive environments.  He is known for driving organizational effectiveness, revenue growth and building partnerships.

A lifelong volunteer, he has served his community, professional associations, health focused organizations, and government.

Neil lives in the Harvey Rural Community just west of Fredericton, NB.


Mary Anne V. Chambers

Vice-Chair, Toronto, Ontario

Dr. Mary Anne Chambers is chancellor of the University of Guelph.

A retired Scotiabank senior vice-president and former Ontario Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and Minister of Children and Youth Services, Mary Anne has served as a member of the Board of Governors of Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC). She has also served as chair of the Board of United Way of Canada / Centraide Canada, vice-chair of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto, president of the Canadian Club of Toronto, governor of the Air Cadet League of Canada, vice-chair of the Rouge Valley Health System, president of the Project for Advancement of Early Childhood Education (Canada), vice-chair of the Board of Cuso International and member of the Boards of the United Way of Toronto, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, YMCA Toronto and GraceKennedy Ltd. She is chair of the Board of Grace Foods Canada Inc., a subsidiary of GraceKennedy Ltd.

Mary Anne has been named to the Order of Ontario and is a recipient of the Governor General of Canada’s Meritorious Service Medal. She has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, by the University of Toronto, York University, Lakehead University and the University of Guelph, and a vice-chancellor’s award from the University of the West Indies. Among her other awards are the Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee medals of Queen Elizabeth the Second and the Prime Minister of Jamaica’s Medal of Appreciation.


Doramy Ehling

Trustee, Richmond, British Columbia

As CEO, Doramy Ehling leads the Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF) in its vision to create an inclusive world where people with disabilities are living to their full potential.  Doramy held successive management positions within RHF, culminating with that of chief operating officer of the foundation, a role she held for 11 years, prior to her appointment as CEO in 2018.

Before joining the Rick Hansen Foundation, Doramy held several positions within the Government of Canada at Canadian Heritage, which included portfolios within Sport Canada.

Doramy is a member of the Advisory Board, Diversity Institute, Ryerson University and a member of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade’s Advisory Committee of the Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Council. Doramy is a member of the Disability in Work Canada Steering Committee that determines the themes and agenda for the annual pan-Canadian annual conference that brings together business, government and disability community stakeholders to discuss employment and disability in Canada. She is also a member of the SSHRC (Quality in Canada’s Built Environment: Roadmaps to Equity, Social Justice and Sustainability) Advisory Board and its steering committee.


Gervan Fearon

Trustee, Toronto, Ontario

Dr. Gervan Fearon is the president of George Brown College and the former president of both Brock University and Brandon University.  Dr. Fearon’s goal is to advance the transformative opportunities education opens for individuals and communities.

Dr. Fearon worked in government at the Treasury Board, Ontario Ministry of Finance and the Economic and Policy Branch, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and in industry at Chase Econometrics, Division of Chase Manhattan Bank.

Dr. Fearon serves on several boards including Ingenium—the Crown corporation overseeing three of Canada’s museums, Colleges Ontario, Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, and Onyx Advisory Board.  He also co-founded the Canada-Caribbean Institute with Sir Hilary Beckles, Vice-Chancellor, the University of the West Indies. He also served as president of the Board of Directors for Tropicana Community Services Organization.

Dr. Fearon was appointed to the Order of Ontario in 2023.  He is the recipient of the 2024 Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award, the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum and Diamond Jubilee Medals, The Michaëlle Jean Foundation Influencer Award and The City of Toronto’s Bob Marley Day Humanitarian Award and others.

Dr. Fearon holds a PhD in economics from Western University and received his master’s and bachelor of science degrees in agricultural economics from the University of Guelph. He holds a chartered professional accountant designation (CPA, CGA) and an Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D).


Christian Idicula

Trustee, Edmonton, Alberta

Christian is an operations consultant who has worked with some of the world’s most recognized companies and has experienced building and advising from the ground up. Early in his career, he worked on innovative and award-winning marketing campaigns with iconic global brands in automotive and consumer technology. Following his MBA, Christian joined UBS where he focused on equity research coverage of Canada’s telecom, technology, and media industry. He later joined Deloitte’s financial advisory services team, focused on the life sciences and technology sectors. Following that, worked with an Edmonton-based software and services startup, initially leading marketing and sales, and then later finance operations. Christian leveraged his experiences into management consulting, working with a variety of strategic business challenges across sectors, including his public sector work with PwC’s operations practice. He led operations KASTx Ventures and its portfolio of startup biotech companies.

Christian holds an MBA in finance and economics from the Schulich School of Business, an MA from Athabasca University in Global Change, a BSc in psychology from the University of Alberta, and a certificate in corporate sustainability management from the Yale School of Management.

In the community, Christian supports science and innovation as a Trustee for Ingenium – Canada’s Science and Innovation Museums and was Chair of the $42 million Aurora Project Campaign Cabinet for the Telus World of Science – Edmonton. He is also co-president of the Edmonton Chapter of the Schulich School of Business alumni network.


Jascha Jabes

Trustee, Toronto, Ontario

Jascha Jabes is vice president of small business at the Bank of Nova Scotia and previously led the Bank’s International Private Banking and Onshore Brokerage businesses. Since joining the Bank in 2007, Jascha has worked in several divisions including precious metals, retail distribution, credit, and international corporate banking. He is a proud graduate of  Queen’s University and holds a masters degree from London School of Economics. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Jascha worked in several public sector roles in Canada and the UK, including as a policy analyst at the Privy Council Office, and a senior advisor to the Minister of Industry. Jascha lives in Toronto with his family and serves on the Boards of the Artscape and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.


Daniel H. Lanteigne

Trustee, Montreal, Québec

Daniel H. Lanteigne, ASC, C.Dir., CFRE, CHRP is a recognized strategist who enables organizations across the country to build capacity and achieve greater social impact by helping them address their philanthropic, governance and human resources challenges. In addition to being vice president for the national firm BNP Inspire, he serves as past chair of the Quebec Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is also chair of the National Advisory Committee for the Canada Volunteer Awards and and joined the Board of Directors of the Office des personnes handicapées du Québec in 2024.

Frequent invited speaker and author in many forums, he is a strong and sought-after voice for his insightful and relevant views on Canada’s non-profit organizations and registered charities.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A.) from Université TÉLUQ and Université du Québec à Montréal, is a member of the College des Administrateurs de sociétés of Université Laval, holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive credential and is a member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés. He is currently a candidate in Carleton University’s Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership program.

He has received numerous civilian honours, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers, the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Exceptional Merit and the Quebec Medal of the National Assembly.


Andréanne Leduc

Trustee, Montreal, Québec

Andréanne Leduc is currently a managing director and partner at Boston Consulting Group, where she has extensive experience advising leading organizations across Canada on their most pressing strategic challenges. She works closely with senior executives to drive large-scale transformations, develop innovative strategies, and implement advanced analytics solutions, with a focus on industrial goods, transportation, and logistics. Andréanne has a proven track record of delivering impact and value to her clients by addressing complex operational and organizational challenges.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MEng in Operations Research, and a BEng in Industrial Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal. During her time at Polytechnique, she co-founded the Comité de consultation en gestion de Polytechnique.


Tracy Primeau

Trustee, Kincardine, Ontario

Tracy Primeau began her career in 1990 at the Ontario Power Generation Pickering Nuclear Generating Station as a nuclear operator in training and was qualified as a Nuclear Operator at Pickering A in 1992. Three years later, she moved home to Kincardine and became a qualified nuclear operator at Bruce A, progressing to authorized nuclear operator and eventually to shift manager in 2010. She is one of the few women (and the only Indigenous one) to become a CNSC licensed operator at Bruce Power (the first at Bruce A) and the only female shift manager to work her way up from the shop floor.

Tracy is a proud member of the Nipissing First Nation and strives to use the Seven Grandfather Teachings in her leadership every day.

Raising her two boys with her husband Dave, Tracy has always been active in her community. Tracy currently serves on the Board of Directors for Women in Nuclear Canada, Ontario Power Generation, Ingenium, United College Board of Governors and the University of Waterloo. Within her community, she actively strives to establish creative and lasting solutions for the systemic hurdles faced by Indigenous populations.


Kirstine Stewart

Trustee, Los Angeles, California

Kirstine Stewart is an internationally award-winning leader with deep expertise working at the intersection of media and technology, and a reputation for turning around revenue performance and driving new market expansion on a global scale. Her work spans executive leadership roles with X (formerly Twitter), Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Crown Family Media/Hallmark, the World Economic Forum, as well as other media corporations and technology start-ups.

A native of Canada, Kirstine earned her bachelor of arts from the University of Toronto before completing executive leadership programs including the global leadership in the 21st century through the Harvard Kennedy School, the transformational leadership program through the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School, and leading with finance, capital markets and valuation through the Harvard Business School.
