Strawberry peach smoothie

This refreshing smoothie bursts with fruity flavour and is a great source of vitamin C and fibre.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 mL) milk or milk alternative of your choice
  • 2 cups (500 mL) frozen peach slices (fresh works too, just peel them first)
  • 2 cups (500 mL) frozen strawberry slices
  • ½ cup (125 mL) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) honey
  • ½ tbsp (7.5 mL) ground flaxseed

Optional Add-ins:

Swap in your favourite fruits or toss in a banana for added thickness. You can also replace the ground flaxseed with hemp hearts or chia seeds for a nutritious twist.

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender in the order listed. Secure the lid tightly.
  2. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour into your favourite glass and serve.
  4. Enjoy!

Quick recipe tip – the easiest way to peel peaches:

To peel easily, score an X on the bottom of each peach, blanch in boiling water for 20–30 seconds, plunge into ice water, then slip off the skins. For firm peaches, use a sharp vegetable peeler instead.
