Ingredients
- ½ cup (125 mL) honey
- ½ cup (125 mL) butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups (375 mL) all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp (2.5 mL) baking soda
- ½ tsp (2.5 mL) baking powder
- ½ tsp (1 mL) salt
- 1 cup (250 mL) chocolate chips
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the honey and butter until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until smooth and well-combined.
- Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture with a spatula until fully incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a small ice cream scoop, drop rounded balls of dough on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
- Bake for 8 – 9 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the sheet for five minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
