Canola! Seeds of Innovation

Ongoing

Explore the story behind this made-in-Canada crop, and how it has revolutionized agriculture by providing a reliable source of vegetable oil and animal feed to countries worldwide.

Canola! Seeds of Innovation examines the science of genetic engineering, and how one small change in a plant’s DNA can make all the difference. Through hands-on discovery, digital games and more, visitors of all ages will learn more about the development of one of Canada’s most important agricultural achievements: an adaptable and herbicide-resistant plant that not only helps feed the world but also powers engines.

Produced with numerous partners from the public and private sectors, Canola! Seeds of Innovation was developed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of canola’s development.
