How are genetics and biotechnology used in agriculture? What is their impact on the environment? In this highly interactive program, students have an opportunity to apply their knowledge of heredity and genomics to improve the genetics of the museum’s dairy herd. Students also explore how genetic engineering has transformed farming practices, and how it continues to push the boundaries of farming for the future.

Fees
$10 per student. Please note a minimum fee of $150 applies.

*Program includes free admission for the teacher as well as up to a maximum of 7 other adults. Please note that there is a mandatory minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 10 students. Any additional adults not included in the program fee will be required to pay the regular visitor fee at admission and will not be able to participate in the program. These requirements do not apply to groups with students who have special needs.
