Explore science with your little one through play and wonder!

Caregivers are invited to immerse themselves and their little ones in a fun and creative 60-minute weekly science lesson. Join us to explore, learn, and spark curiosity together! Spark their natural curiosity and nurture a love of science that will last a lifetime!

During this weekly session, see how fun and easy it is to learn about science with your little one! From stargazing in the inflatable planetarium to using the senses to explore light and sound, enjoy hands-on learning through play, music, and storytelling in a shared, welcoming space.

Advance registration is required and includes museum admission on the day of your visit.

$76 + tax per 4-week session (members receive a 20% discount)

Science for tots “in flight”

New this fall! Take part in an optional add-on session at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum with your little ones. Together, explore fascinating themes like space and airplanes through playful activities designed just for them. These sessions will be on a Wednesday (see options below).

Program schedule:

0 to 12 months at 11:30 a.m. (Sundays) / 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (Tuesdays) 

12 to 24 months at 10:00 a.m. (Sundays) / 2:00 p.m. (Tuesdays)

Session 1 

  • Week 1 – Sept 14, 16: Five senses
  • Week 2 – Sept 21, 23: Rainbows
  • Week 3 – Sept 28, 30: Trains and motion
  • Week 4 – Oct 5, 7: Hot and cold
  • Week 5 (optional add-on) – Oct 8: Space (at the Canada Space and Aviation Museum)

Session 2

  • Week 6 – Oct 14, 19: Gravity
  • Week 7 – Oct 21, 26: Planets and stars
  • Week 8 – Oct 28, Nov 2: Materials
  • Week 9 – Nov 4, 9: Sound
  • Week 10 (optional add-on) – Nov 12: Flight (at the Canada Space and Aviation Museum)

Additional event information:

  • This event includes free entry to the museum
  • Children will engage in sensory play so please bring extra clothes for your baby
  • We recommend bringing a baby carrier for the museum portion of the program if you have one

Frequently asked questions

Due to space limitations registration is limited to one adult and one child.

There are no refunds for a missed session.

Participants may cancel up to 48 hrs before the start of the series. Please reach out to our Customer engagement team [email protected] to do so.

Due to limited space there is no drop-in option. If there are spaces available participants can sign-up mid-session at a pro-rated price.

The activities will be delivered with the target age group in mind but participants may sign up for the alternative timeslot if it better fits their schedule.

This program is for any caregiver and their child aged 0 to 24 months. A caregiver can identify as a mom, dad, parent, grandparent, friend, or other care provider.
