Join us this Canada Day to celebrate the spirit of Canadian creativity and discovery! Test your skills with our hands-on science challenges, inspired by the fun and energy of classic midway games. Then head to the Demo Stage, where you’ll be blown away by spectacular science demonstrations that highlight the unpredictability of Canadian seasons.
Step into our travelling exhibition, Earth in Focus, to see our planet’s beauty from breathtaking aerial perspectives. Finally, enjoy the inspiring short film Ingénia, which showcases the remarkable ways everyday Canadians connect with science and technology.

Science challenge zone

Step into the science zone and take on a series of interactive, skill-testing challenges inspired by the carnival spirit:
Feel the force as you spin on the gyroscope platform—can you keep your balance while in motion?
Steady your hands in our buzzer challenge—navigate the path without setting off the alarm. Can you stay cool under pressure?
Take aim with the air cannon—can you blast a gust of wind and hit the target with precision?
Fun, fast-paced, and full of surprises—come see how your skills stack up!

Location: Demo Stage
Journey through Canada’s four iconic seasons in one thrilling science show! Watch winter form in an instant with supercooled liquid nitrogen, then let swirling fog transport you into the freshness of spring. Feel the heat of summer with a dazzling display of mineral salt fireworks and watch the colors of fall come alive in a spectacular burst of wind and science.

Ingénia invites visitors to rediscover the museum through a vibrant three-minute film created by the National Film Board of Canada. Featuring dynamic imagery and overlapping sequences, it weaves together science, technology, and human curiosity—linking past and present in a visually stunning tribute to Canadian ingenuity.
Earth in Focus: Insights from Space

Location: Temporary Exhibition Hall
This visually stunning exhibition highlights the important role that space-based Earth observation plays in monitoring Earth’s changing systems. Explore how this unique perspective helps us understand and respond to global challenges while reminding us how deeply connected we are to our spectacular, yet fragile, planet.
