We’re updating this popular program with more inquiry-based activities designed to support student learning and development.
After reading The Blue Balloon by Mick Inkpen, students will embark on a journey through the museum. At each stop, students will take part in an activity that reveals a new aspect of air or space travel — from aircraft construction, to search and rescue, to life in space, and even a comparison of how astronauts use the Canadarm with how we complete similar tasks on Earth. This re-vamped version of a classic museum favourite offers new opportunities for students to be creative and begin their own adventures of discovery!
