Students explore the impact of aviation and the development of Canada’s aerospace industry since our first powered flight in 1909. The tour covers important individuals, events and aircraft from early aviation in Canada through the end of the First World War including the Aerial Experiment Association, Wallace Turnbull’s wind tunnel and the Montreal Air Meet of 1910.
Discover the evolution of aviation and its impacts through time by comparing the modern era to life in the past. Through the lens of aircraft histories, museum guides will lead engaging group discussions about the social and economic changes that came about as a result of this dynamic industry.

$7.25 per student. Please note a minimum fee of $145 applies.

*Program includes free admission for one adult for every four participants for elementary-aged students, or one adult for every six participants for secondary-aged students. Please note that there is a mandatory minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 10 students. Any additional adults not included in the program fee will be required to pay the regular visitor fee at admission and will not be able to participate in the program. These requirements do not apply to groups with students who have special needs.
