The big ‘Blue Balloon’ adventure

Hunt for shapes, build flying machines, and dress up like aviators in this adventurous and engaging school program for young learners.

Flight
- Grade 6
- Elementary cycle 2 – Elementary cycle 3
How do aircraft fly? Students learn about the properties of air and the four key forces that get an airplane into the air and help keep it there.

Made in Canada
- Grade 8
- Secondary cycle 1
Students will explore the impact of aviation and the development of Canada’s aerospace industry since the first Canadian powered flight in 1909.

Aviation and technology
- Grade 9 – Grade 11
- Secondary cycle 1 – Secondary cycle 2
What do swimsuits and sharkskin have to do with aircraft? Students will handle aircraft building materials, learn about the changes in aviation technology over time and discover a world of aerospace careers.

Solo mission: Self-guided school tour
- Preschool – Grade 12
- Preschool – Secondary cycle 2
Three scavenger hunts are available for self-guided school groups. Students can work in teams to see if they can complete all missions before their friends!
