Take to the skies year-round!

Enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Ottawa with sightseeing flights at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, which is located next to a historic airfield.

Enjoy a range of flights over the National Capital Region all year long. Choose from family sightseeing rides, a trip in a helicopter, or a vintage experience in a historic biplane.

Vintage biplane flights

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a barnstormer in a genuine biplane, here’s your chance to find out! Choose one of four different biplane tours in an exciting flight over the National Capital Region. The Waco UPF-7 is an open-cockpit biplane circa 1939, which holds up to two passengers per flight. Strap on the provided helmets and goggles, and take to the skies!

Tour options and fees

River tour – $95*

Travel along the picturesque Ottawa River. This lower-altitude offers flight excellent photo-taking opportunities. Air time is 10 to 15 minutes.

Parliament Hill tour – $105*

Get a bird’s-eye view of Parliament Hill and downtown Ottawa. Air time is 10 to 15 minutes.

Gatineau Hills tour – $160*

Fly serenely along the Gatineau River, over Gatineau Park, the Chelsea dams, and the original river-logging route that helped establish urban settlement in the region. The Parliament Hill Tour is included on the return leg. Air time is 20 to 25 minutes.

Eco tour – $199*

Enjoy panoramic vistas of Gatineau Park and a close-up look at Champlain Lookout, before flying over the secluded lakes and rivers that have made the park world-famous. In addition, you’ll enjoy aerial views of the farmlands of Eastern Ontario and western Quebec. The Parliament Hill Tour is included on the return leg. Air time is 30 to 35 minutes.

Family sightseeing flights

Fly over downtown Ottawa and Parliament Hill in a small plane. Accommodating up to three passengers per flight, this is an ideal way to introduce children to the magic of flight. Whether your child is a seasoned aviator or a first-time flyer you don’t want to miss this affordable and memorable flight experience!

Helicopter rides

Enjoy an informal tour over the region with this once-in-a-lifetime experience – a flight on a Robinson R44 helicopter. As you climb into the skies over the National Capital Region, you’ll begin to see iconic landmarks in a whole new way. The helicopter’s enclosed cabin has two rows of side-by-side seating for the pilot and up to three passengers. The bubble canopy offers great views, so be sure to bring your camera!
