Easter at the farm

9:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Hop on over to the museum and celebrate the arrival of spring!

Please note: Advanced tickets are required for Easter at the farm, including for Ingenium members. Special pricing is in effect for this event, with exclusive rates for members. Tickets can be booked online starting Wednesday, March 11 at 9:30 a.m. Free passes and discounted admission will not be applicable during this event. Due to site capacity, we ask people to respect their ticket time.

After a long winter, the barns have come alive with the arrival of newborn animals. Welcome the soft lambs and observe the fluffy, newly-hatched chicks and ducklings up close. Learn about the transformation of cacao beans into chocolate — while tasting a yummy sample! Admire the beautiful eggs on display in our All About Eggs room. Kids of all ages can make a springtime craft to take home, or take a break and enjoy a family movie. The Beavertails and Amusements Buckingham food trucks will be on site all weekend, weather permitting.

Please note that most of the special Easter activities end at 4 p.m.

Chocolate celebrations and chocolate taste testing

Please note that capacity for this activity is limited and participation is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Chocolate is a tasty part of many Easter celebrations, but how is it made? Join us to learn about the transformation of cacao beans into chocolate, then sample a piece for yourself! (While supplies last.)

Meet the chicks, ducklings and rabbits

Ongoing from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Can a chick hatch from one of the eggs in your fridge? How long does it take for them to hatch? Get the answers to these questions and meet the newly hatched, fluffy chicks and ducklings.

Visitors will learn interesting facts about rabbits, their life cycle, and even get the chance to pet one.

Don’t miss this “eggs-traordinary” learning station! Discover interesting facts about eggs, compare different types, and learn how we grade eggs with an egg grader! Visitors can also admire a display of uniquely decorated eggs.

Egg-speriments

Check out these fun and simple “eggsperiments” as you learn about the properties of eggs. Can an egg float? What happens when you soak it in vinegar? Through fun and easy activities, we’ll test, observe, and learn — all while getting a little eggy!

Groom a calf

Ongoing from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Brush and interact with a calf while discovering why grooming is essential for their health and happiness.

Family movie: The secret life of pets

English: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.  

French: 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Enjoy an engaging adventure about what our dogs, cats, birds, and other domesticated creatures get up to when we’re not around!

The Amusements Buckingham and Beavertails food trucks will be on site all weekend long serving up treats and refreshing beverages. Additional fees apply.
